The International Cooperation Initiative for the "New Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" respectively, abbreviated as "The Belt and Road", was launched in 2013. This initiative has concluded 195 intergovernmental cooperation agreements with 136 countries and 30 international organizations, with the scope from Eurasia to African, Latin American, South Pacific and Western European countries. At this global/regional cooperation platforms, this initiative aims to develop economic partnerships with countries and to create a community of all-human interests, destiny and responsibility for political mutual trust, economic integration, and cultural inclusion.
On "The Belt and Road" international cooperative context, Asia-Pacific Risk Professionals Association (ARPA) was established in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China in November 2016, with the aim of researching, developing and promoting cutting-edge theories, technologies and best industry practices in the field of financial risk, compliance management and internal control at financial industries Asia-Pacific Region and beyond.
